Searching for online content and tools to augment classroom learning, especially beyond Wikipedia and Google? Learn how to utilize the dozen learning and content platforms from the State Library's K-12 Online Content Project in this interactive session. Platforms include Britannica School and Escolar (native Spanish); National Geographic Kids, Interactive Science, and Environmental Studies (from Gale); CultureGrams, SIRS Discoverer, SIRS Issues Researcher, eLibrary, Research Companion, and Central Student (from ProQuest); and TeachingBooks' platform of resources from author interviews to lesson plans. All public-school K-12 educators and students have no-cost access to these state-paid resources. Best to bring a laptop or Chromebook, although phones and tablets will work too.
