Participants will learn how Design Thinking can actively get students engaged in their communities through Project-Based Learning experiences. Attendees will hear how students become empowered by conducting action research in their community with Design Thinking as their guide. Students experience mentorship to work through solving a problem and then receive feedback from experts in particular fields. The nature of these PBL’s are cross-curricular and are designed to teach entrepreneurship that includes communication, teamwork, critical thinking, problem-solving, initiative and enterprise, self-management, and learning through technology.
