If you’re old like me, you may remember the original Choose Your Own Adventure novels. After reading through a section, you might turn to page 57 to go down into the basement, or page 28 to go up to the attic. Using tools like Google Forms and Google Slides you can create your own Choose Your Own Adventure activities for your students. With a little time, patience, and hyperlink know-how you can create engaging, thought-provoking activities to bolster student learning and engagement. Your students can also use these same tools to demonstrate their own skill and creativity, as they explore how choices affect outcomes in stories and their own realities.
